Bob Cooke TSTA
Effective Supervision
Venue to be advised

This 2 day programme of his workshop is suitable for counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, caring, health, emergency services, allied health and education professionals and anyone who supervises in their work. This course is also suitable for experienced supervisors as well as those who would like to know more about supervision or who are thinking about moving into a supervisory role.

In these 2 days Bob will present the “Process” model for effective supervision. He will also work with clients and provide practical live supervision, so that participants can gain an understanding of the process and the knowledge to use the tools immediately and effectively.

The Process model includes seven levels of interventions, and provides a map for effective supervision.

It includes:-

  • The Hawkins and Shohet seven stage model of effective supervision.
  • The Philosophy of supervision.
  • What supervision is and what it is not.
  • Analysis of effective interventions for effective supervision.
  • How we work within supervision - including practical live supervision

Note: This two day workshop can lead a 5 day Certificate in Supervision from the Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy UK. We are intending to offer a 3 day program next year to complete this.

Cost: $470.00

CASA Annual Conference
"Back to the Future"

As counsellors and psychotherapists, we often find ourselves following our clients into their past or making a therapeutic choice to do so. Such research is invaluable in helping our clients find solutions, new meanings or generally helping them to cope better with life. Many different counselling modalities, theories and approaches apply to this process. The 2010 CASA Conference, Back to the Future, aims to capture key ideas to augment your ability to help your clients explore their past to help them move forward.
