Professional Membership
  • Is available following completion of: 
    • counselling training of either an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) which includes a minimum of 350 contact hours of focused counselling training over 3 years, or a postgraduate qualification which includes a minimum of 200 hours over 2 years, and
    • counselling practice which includes 50 hours of training supervision relating to 200 hours of direct client contact
  • $295.00 per year

Associate Membership
  • Is available to any person:
    • who is a student enrolled in formal training in counselling or psychotherapy; or
    • who has completed formal training in counselling or psychotherapy but is not yet eligible for Professional or Clinical membership.
  • $150.00 per year

Clinical Membership
  • Is available to CASA's Professional Members via one of three different pathways, following completion of a minimum of 75 hours of post-training supervision relating to a minimum of 750 hours of direct client contact.
  • $295.00 per year

Affiliate Membership
  • Is available to CASA's Clinical or Professional Members who are no longer practicing as counsellors due to retirement, sabatical leave, full-time study, or for an extended period of time for any other reason
  • $195.00 per year
Honorary Membership
  • The Association may confer Honorary Membership on a counsellor who has attained distinction in the field of counselling, or given outstanding service to the Association
